Summer Literacy Task
Reading for pleasure is something we would like all students to enjoy. At secondary school, reading for pleasure has been revealed as one of the most important indicators to future academic success.
To encourage a ‘love of reading‘, over the summer holidays ALL students will be expected to read AT LEAST ONE of the following books and complete AT LEAST TWO of the Chilli tasks (which you will find in the next section), which you should type up or photograph and bring in on your first day. We may ask you to submit them electronically so it is important that you save your work.
Hopefully, you will have time to enjoy a number of these summer reads. We look forward to hearing about your recommendations!
